Little Miss B's Beauty and Life Blog, imparting the wisdom of thousands of pounds spent on make up. Guest spots by professional make up artists...
e more on here and it has to be my treat of the week because it is fantastic! For those of you who are slaves to the black lines but also for those of you who long for a bit of subtle definition Laura Merciers Eye Liner in Black Ebony is the one for you. Now this eye liner involves a bit of dedication bec
ause you also need to buy the Flat Eye Liner Brush to go with it. It's a bit like painting. You wet the brush, get some colour on it from the eye liner and then gently dab it under the eye lashes and then over the top of the eye lashes getting it right into the root rather than along the lid. Sounds confusing but once you've mastered it you'll never go back. Perfect for those days when you don't want to wear loads of make up but want a bit of pizazz. xx
e'd just run out of hair wax (otherwise I'd never have persuaded him to change brands - he's a creature of habit). Fiber by American Crew markets itself as 'high hold with low shine' and it does exactly what it says on the pot. It is the non-shiny aspect of this which he really likes and the fact that it lasts all day but can be restyled well with a dab of water half way through the day. I love the smell - it is vaguely floral/herbal but in a manly way and actually is really unnoticeable. Mr J prefers the smell of his old product but I'm pretty sure he'll grow out of that - I think the freshness of this is so nice compared to it smelling like generic men's hair product. You can see why this was a winner of FHM's Grooming Awards 2009 and it's available for online for just £6.95 xx
ll it, it has (supposedly) the technology. But it's not. Not only is the competition incredibly strong (obviously too strong) but it doesn't remove that much of your eye makeup and leaves a sort of greasy sheen on your skin. Like the fantastic Clinique Take the Day Off makeup remover it is a combination of oil and water so needs to be shaken up but unlike Take The Day Off no matter how much you use not all the mascara seems to be removed and it actually feels like it's not working as you wipe it over your eyes. Avoid it - get Take the Day Off or Simple's Eye Makeup Remover and save yourself some frustration! xx
